Each bamboo bowl is hand-shaped and coiled by hand then coated with a durable, food-safe waterproof finish and natural lacquer (derived from the cashew nut tree) . Suitable for both hot and cold foods, they clean easily with warm soapy water or a damp cloth. (Not recommended for dishwasher or microwave.)
